Recent Allegro Chicago Kimpton Review: "My fiance and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Hotel Allegro. We stayed in the King Jacuzzi Suite which was by far the best hotel room I've ever booked.
The hotel was uber stylish and the room was a lot of fun! The King bed was AMAZING. So so so so comfortable!
The jacuzzi in the room was incredible, I highly recommend getting the suite! It is totally worth the extra bucks.
The wine reception was ridiculously fun and we even saw the governor there one night relaxing in the lobby with his posse.
The best part of all this is that not only was the hotel completely luxurious, but we were able to bring our dog along who absolutely enjoyed himself. The concierge gave him a biscuit every time we brought him to the lobby and there was a waterbowl set up for the dogs as well!
This hotel is right in the theater district so make sure to catch a show! We went to only one during our 5 night visit, and wished we'd had the chance to catch another.
Plenty of dining and coffee shop options in the area as well! Very close to great shopping, just a superb place.
The tvs in the room were huge and had a great selection of channels. Only negative was that there were no dvd players, but luckily we were able to connect our laptops to watch movies so no problemo!
I'm hoping to get a chance to stay there again someday, or at least try out some other Kimpton hotels.
I can't say enough about how fabulous this hotel is; should be 5 stars instead of 4!
Oh one more thing, if you can make sure to self park! The valet is expensive, but they were all super friendly so if you're willing to spend the money on it you can at least know you're getting great service."
