Recent Allerton Magnificent Mile Review: "I had a perfect experience at the Allerton. Upon a very late arrival (1:55 am) was upgraded to a king suite. The room was lovely, but unfortunately it shared a wall with the elevator bank. It banged, banged, banged from about 5:45 am on. As I set out to explore the city, I checked in with reception to ask to be moved once they were done cleaning rooms for the day. Alicia made a note of my request and asked me to check in at 3pm. I went back at 2pm, she immediately rechecked availability and I landed in a sweet corner Queen suite with views across and down Mag Mile. What a treat! The hotel seemed to be full during my stay, all of the employees were very pleasant and helpful in spite of the crowds. You cannot beat the location. It was my first time in Chicago, and I cannot wait to return. Will definitely stay at the Allerton and have suggested it to everyone I've spoken with since. Oh, I did end up in a room where the bedroom closed was mostly taken up with the floor safe. That was a bummer as there was very little you could utilize the closet for. It seems that the shelf w/rung could be raised up higher to allow the hanging of pants. That said, you'll never be able to hang a full length dress in it. Oh well, I used the hook on the bathroom door!"

| Since, i chose the Petite Classic Room - i was not expecting much, BUT was pleasently surprised .. the room was small, BUT Not TOOOO small. Just enif for 1 or 2 nights stay.
Lots of air and sunlight, comfortable bed and GREAT Location !!
The B/fast spread could have been a bit better 0 although it was just fine !
Great Shower.
Would definitely stay again !! |

| The hotel was perfectly located right on the corner of Huron and Michigan. Even though it has a Michigan Ave address, the entrance is on Huron. The front desk person was a little stuffy and formal, but I guess that was to be expected. We were on the 17th floor and had a view of Michigan Ave that was so cool. We stayed in a Standard King, which was by far the smallest room we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was cramped, but manageable for a short stay. At least everything was clean, so that helped in the comfort factor. And if you never stayed in downtown Chicago so close to all the action be prepared to hear street noise and sirens in the middle of the night, just part of the experience...right. |

| 4 blocks form beautiful Lake for a walk or a run! The Allerton provided a restful night's sleep right in the middle of downtown. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! Bonus: gym on the 25th floor with views while you work out. Only bummer: no refrigerator in the room. |

| Clean hotel and room but tiny room. No counter or storage space for 1 week or longer stay. No mini-refer. for personal use, only set up as a min-bar with high prices and no additional space. Great location. Close to all. |

| Chicago - I would move there in a minute. The Allerton provided us a great location and stay. We could easily get around to the Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, great restaurants, museums, beach and lake front - all by walking around this beautiful city. |

| My daughter and I enjoyed I stay at the Allerton very much. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly. I book my reservation online requesting I thought to be a room with two double bed. Only it was a single bed. The hotel apologize and puts us in a lovely suite. Our next visit to Chicago we will definitely be staying at the Allerton Hotel. We were close to everything we needed in walking distance what a great time we had. |

| Although the room was small, we thoroughly
enjoyed our stay.......the room was impeccably
clean and well maintained by the housekeeping

| The hotel is located in a perfect location. I was able to check in at 10pm, no questions asked. The room was pretty cozy, but the things around were worn out. Like the pillow cases on the sofa were washed off, the extra pillow in the closet had a big hole on it.
Overall the room looked clean, but when i tried to connect my laptop i saw all the trash pieces on the floor.
The sink in bathroom had an old crack.
The great thing that i liked about the hotel that i was able to check in for my flight right from their lobby. The concierge was very helpful with assistance. |
