Recent Aloft Ohare Review: "I was looking for something in Chicago for an overnight stay for my anniversary. I was looking for something reasonable that wasn't a total dive. Being in my early 20's and still "hip", I was instantly attracted to the contemporary style of aloft. When you arrive, the contemporary design is what really stands out - from the design of the building, style of the furniture, and the colors. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the staff has a snobby contemporary attitude, it's quite the contrary. They are very welcoming, and the occasional "aloha" was a nice touch.
The hotel had all the common features of a hotel - a bar, pool, fitness center, common areas, and a 24 hour snack bar. We stayed in a king sized bed room, and it was very nice. The bathroom was the nicest part of the room. Above counter sink, pocket doors between the sink area and the toilet/shower, glass shower with a great shower head, it was all very nice. The sleeping part of the room had a very comfortable bed, a nice sized flatscreen tv, and free wireless. They even had a hookup if you wanted to bring your gaming console or dvd player with you. I kind of wish we did so we didn't have to spend a pretty penny ordering a movie. The room was very clean and was very quiet with neighbors around.
Overall, the hotel was great. The only drawbacks is that around the hotel there wasn't that much to do except a large movie theater, but it is very close to the subway line. They would take you there for free. I would recommend this for anyone, even families with kids. This hotel is completely different from what's out there, and I found that very refreshing."

| This was my first stay at the Aloft and I must say I enjoyed it alot. The staff was very friendly. They have free Wi-Fi throughout the entire hotel.The hotel opened in 2006 and they have maintained it very well. You notice immediately upon entering that this is a place for those who want to feel relaxed and comfortable in a hotel. The lobby serves as a relaxing lounge area with plush seating and board games. The bartenders were great. The outdoor patio area was a welcome surprise.The surrounding neighborhoods were nice. The Aloft offers shuttle service to/from many of the area restaurants and shops. |

| I absolutely love this hotel --- but I hate the garage parking and the way you have to get there by car. If I fly into Chicago and can take the shuttle it is wonderful. If I drive, the garage is a confusing maze. Last time I stayed I lost my parking ticket and they wanted to charge me $100. I already paid $20 for the night! Fix the parking and it would be my number 1 place! |

| Newer, very trendy hotel. Upon entering the lobby I was greeted with a citrusy spa like aroma and was told by the staff that the hotel has it's own scent. Cozy and modern furniture in lobby area as well as open areas on every floor. There are board games out on the furniture for the guests. Very clean, and great service. |

| I bought this as a quick honeymoon for my friends the weekend they got married. Only two things that were a little strange.
1) I called the "Aloha" desk to ask if they could make their stay more special. They said they'd give them drink tickets, send some snacks up to the room, etc. None of these promises happen.
2) The cleaning ladies came in at 8:30am EVERY DAY they were there. Come on: they are on their honeymoon! Kind of disappointing for my friends because they don't want to be bothered that early... |

| Having to wait around for a shuttle all of the time was a huge inconvenience, especially because the drivers always expected a tip. The hotel itself is very well maintained, clean, and the customer service was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to people who are looking to save money and will not be in a rush to go anywhere--unless you are driving your own vehicle. |

| Everything was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful. I left something in the room when I checked out and they had no problem holding it for me. The bar is absolutely stunning. I was shocked and amazed by how wonderful everything was. I plan on staying again in November. |

| I love everything about this hotel chain: the thoughtfulness of design, the friendliness of the lobby area, the Bliss products. But in this area, the best thing was the free shuttle, which took us to the train station, the airport and to a great nearby pizza restaurant. Traffic on I-90 is a nightmare, so we took advantage of alternative transportation. The car stayed in the garage! |
