Recent Carlton Inn Midway Review: "We were flying out of Midway Airport the next day with our cat, and needed a hotel that was nearby, allowed pets, and was affordable. I saw that they also offer a free airport shuttle to Midway, and that helped us tremendously, since we did not have our car with us. The room was comfortable, had a mini fridge and microwave, and good heating/cooling  controls. Since the airport is only 2 miles away, I was a little worried upon booking that the takeoff and landings would be loud enough to interrupt our sleep, but the room fan helps to block the traffic and airport sounds with white noise. However, living next to subway tracks and a busy street has acclimated us to noisy nights, so if having a silent room is important to your sleep, you might want to pack a pair of earplugs. Our cat also seemed to find the room comfortable, and he settled down right away on the bed after his stressful car ride to Chicago. The hotel has a pet dog who spends time on the premises. He was napping in the office when we arrived :)"
