Recent Courtyard Marriott Ohare Review: "I surprised with the quality of this hotel. The lobby area is beautiful and the rooms where exactly what I have come to expect from a Courtyard...excellent! Just a short ride to the convention center where I needed to be, and the even provided a shuttle service saving me the convention center parking fee - not to mention the hassel. Thanks!"

| This hotel was very clean and modern. My husband much more impressed with this property than the $200 a night hotel he stayed at just the week before. Unlike that hotel this one had free wifi, a nice pool area and a very comfortable bed. We will be keeping this on our list for the next time we need a hotel in Chicago. |

| Check-in was smooth. The room was as described. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was below average, but was expensive. A day before checking out, neither one of the hotel keys would work to get into our rooms. Had to get new keys. Then, we got locked out of the hotel and pool (on different occasions) because when the keys were reprogrammed it only programmed them to go into our room, not anywhere else like the previous keys. The pool is scheduled to be open til 11pm, but when I tried to visit (with my key that now wouldn't work) at 9:30pm, it was locked and all of the lights were off. Did not appear that staff did much to make our stay more comfortable or accommodating. After having to get the key reprogrammed and getting locked out of the pool and the exterior doors, not any one of the 3 staff members that I spoke to apologized for the inconvenience. Also, the highway and planes nearby can make sleeping difficult. One positive was the housekeeping crew who did a good job and even cleaned our room late in the day when we left to go sightsee after 3pm. Decent value for the cost. |

| Hotel was very modern and very clean. Staff pleasant during check in and check out.
Only problem was both wake up calls were 20-25 minutes later than requested.
But would stay here again! |

| We were very comfortable for one night stay with four adults. Any more nights we would of stayed in two rooms. Cost efficient for us. Beds were comfortable. Quiet room. Staff was very helpfull. Only complaint is that the bar was closed at 10:30 pm on a Friday night. We couldn't get a nightcap to relax after our long day of driving. |

| This hotel was good for its purpose for us. We were just in for the night and flying out in the morning. We did really enjoy the food in the "Bistro", and it was really cool that they had flatscreen TV's in the booths. The room was basic but clean. Actually the only problem I had with the hotel was the smell. Our room and the hallway surrounding it had an odor of chlorine from the pool...and like mildew or something. We got used to it eventually, but at first it was pretty potent. The location is near the O'Hare airport and they do provide a shuttle, so both of those aspects were great. |

| This is the first of the Marriott Courtyard makeovers that have been launched system wide. Only the lobby has been done yet, but it is clearly a step into the 21st century -- and generally well done and inviting. |

| I recently stayed with a few friends for a convention over the weekend. I had left something of mine back at the room and had called to request it be sent to me. I called five times over the span of about 3 days, finally getting an answer to my question of whether or not they had the item on the fifth call. Then, through all this hassle and finally getting an answer, they charged me for sending it my way. It's as if the money I paid them for the room wasn't enough, they wanted to eek more money out of me.
Lesson learned: If you leave something of importance, sometimes it's best to cut your losses and save yourself the trouble of it getting returned. |
