Recent Drake Hotel Review: "The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our room included a beautiful view of the lake from the window. While the decor was a little outdated, it was old world elegant and well maintained. It is also right in the middle of the magnificent mile area where there are a ton of restaurants and attractions. The staff was  very friendly and accomodating and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, especially the conceierge, who assisted us with getting a corkscrew and wine glassed for in our room for the evening. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast, which included an omelet bar as well as hot and cold entrees. Everything available was very tasty and plentiful. My only complaint is that all of the information given in the room and with the hotel keys stated that there were complimentary appetizers in the hotel bar during happy hour. We went to the happy hour and although the drinks were exceptional (if not a little pricey), there were no additional food options available besides those on the regular menu. The bartender told us that the appetizers are apparently not offered in the spring and summer months (their busiest season) but no one bothers to mention that in the guest inforamation book or change the information provided with the key to the room at check in. But besides that very small thing, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay there again."
