Recent Elk Grove Chalet Review: "This hotel is right by the airport which is good because, from the airport, (Ohare) you can take the train right downtown (much faster than traffic). It's not the nicest hotel but for the price its a good deal."

The only problem was having to wait on the room. It wasn't ready when we arrived even though it was a hour after check-in time.

overnight stay, had to catch a 6am flight from o'hare - shuttle service runs only on the hour, but reaches the airport in about 15 mins. minimal amenities, but not repulsive.

Could have been better. But, all reasonably priced hotels could be better. An OK hotel just to have a place to sleep overnight. The beds could have been softer!

Did not spend much time in room. For price and season and compared to others around was very reasonable. Looks like the hotel is going through some remodeling. Not as bad as I expected from previous reviews.I was not disappointed.

The price of the hotel was exactly what I was looking for however, the hotel itself had some things that were distracting. First of all i requested a non-smoking room and there was obviously someone smoking because occasionally it smelled like someone lit up a cigarette and my room filled up with cigarette smoke. something was also wrong with the plumming. The water had a distinct sulfer smell to it and we smelled bad after bathing in the water.
