Recent Embassy Chicago Downtown Review: "My husband and I and our 6 year old son stayed one night at the Embassy Suites Downtown Chicago. We were very impressed with the hotel. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Our son loved the glass elevators, 2 room suite (he got to stay up late watching TV), and pool. The pool was nice and the pool towels were full sized, not like some of those  hand-towel sized ones. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms seemed fairly quiet, although we were right across from the elevator and it was a bit noisy in the evening. The best part of staying here was the Manager's reception in the evening and the free breakfast in the morning. In the evening, they have a small snack table set up (we had soft pretzel bites with cheese, raw veggies with dip, and a pretzel mix) and you get one complimentary alcoholic beverage (or non-alcohol). This was perfect for us as we had late dinner reservations and the snack was a great way to keep the 6 year old happy. The breakfast buffet was very good. They have an omelet station and a buffet of bacon, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. Best tip is to arrive before 8 am for breakfast, otherwise the line is crazy long for omelets. We will definitely return to Embassy Suites the next time we are in Chicago. Best hotel value when you consider breakfast and a drink. Parking was steep, but you are in Chicago."
