| When I arrived I found that I was not in the smoking room I requested and was told they did not have a smoking room. When I then let them know I would not be staying they conveniently found a smoking room for me. I was dissapointed with it as well because for the price I felt there should have been microwave and refrigerator in my room. Cheaper hotels have these. I regret to say I hardly got any sleep because of my room being one of those adjoining rooms where the people in the other room seemed to have a long night of partying going on.i was also quoted a double queen room and instead was placed in a double full bed room. |

| I was left on hold and transferred back and forward form the front desk to reservation for over and hour just to request an early check. Then was rudely told by a manger that it was not a garantee that I would get early check in. Which could have been told to me before the first call transfer and the hour wait. Rude front desk and manager. |

| I made a mistake when booking the room. I mistakingly put the room in my name and should have been in my Moms. My Mom and sister had to wait in Lobby for 45 mins while I tried to simply change the room into her name. The room was booked, paid in full and the time it took to change was simply ridiculous to say the least. To be honest the overall experience for the two nights they stayed the first night was supposed to be a non-smoking room the second night was a loud group of kids staying next to their adjoining room. The "non-smoking" room smelled like an ash tray so they had to change rooms and the second night I had booked a non-smoking room and they wer all sold out. Back to the change in name issue The front desk person was completly unhelpful it seemed as if this was not her issue at all and we got the feeling we were making her work. The Hotel Manager had to be paged for me to speak to her and when she finally called me back her attitude (similiar to the front desk) appeared as if I was bothering her (I guess they paged her out of Church), I apologized to her for inconviniencing her she continued to have an attitude. All and all we did not have a positive experience on either night. We were just looking for a place to sleep peacefully because my father just had triple bypass surgery and this hotel was close by. For the price they charge and being rated as a 3 1/2 star I had much higher expectations and would not reccommend anyone from my family or friends to stay there. |

| Oaklawn Hilton- The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The hotel is always clean and the employees are always cheerfull and helpfull. a great value for the price. |

| The people in front of us were complaining about the debit card policy and didn't want to move from the desk until a manager was found. There didn't seem to be one available, therefore, the check-in process was way longer than necessary. |

| This hotel is close to Midway Airport but far enough so you don't feel like staying at the airport. Good restaurant on site and comfortable rooms. |
