Recent Howard Johnson Elk Review: "My husband and I stayed at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Columbus, Ohio last year and we were satisfied. I booked the Howard Johnson hotel in Chicago based on our last stay in Columbus. Shockingly, I was suprised on how clean the hotel and and room was. The front desk staff was very polite and professional. The room was small, but it was just me and my husband, so we didn't need a huge room. The contenental breakfast was not up to my expectations, but it was okay for the price. If need be, I'd stay here again. I do have one minor complaint. Online, they advertised that the hotel was within walking distance to eateries, that's false, there is a McDonalds across the street but other than that, you have to drive to the other restraunts,which was not convenient. I would recommend this hotel for short stays."

| For the price the hotel was mainly what I expected. The lobby, elevator, halls and stair well smelled heavily of smoke. But our room didn't smell to bad. The room was smaller than a typical hotel room. |

| stayed here while traveling to Chicago. It is about a 15 minute drive to the Rosemont Blue Line and then 45 minutes to the city, but it is better than sitting in traffic on the highway. It is a nice, inexpensive place to stay if you have the time to get into the city everyday. |

| This is a decent, affordable hotel near OHare Airport - it's actually a little bit further than most airport hotels in the area so finding it at night might be a small challenge for some. But the service was good, the rooms were clean, the hotel and area were quiet and safe. We were only there for a night but I'd recommend it if you're looking for a room to spend a night or two en route to some other place. |

| My daughter and I were pleased that the hotel was only 5 minutes arena and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the renovations were nice. They should put at least 4 pillows on the queen beds( they were very small). Aside from that I would stay there again. |

| Its an ok smaller hotel. Very clean but the room was a little on the small size. Thestaff was nice and courteous. |

| I booked a room at this hotel after needing to find last minute accommodations close to Chicago. I chose the hotel for price (very affordable for the Chicago area) and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was and how friendly and helpful the staff were. My room was actually a small suite with a fridge and microwave and a great work area. The free WiFi also worked well. The only drawback was the lack of restaurant options within walking distance. But the manager was very helpful in suggesting delivery options, which worked out perfectly well as the delivery restaurants were quite familiar with the hotel and were easy to place orders with. The hotel did provide a continental breakfast, though, which was nice. Overall, everything was clean, comfortable, friendly, helpful, and affordable. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again. |

| My stay was very good. The Hotel filled my needs. It was clean. and in good repair. I was very inexpensive. The location was fine. I would stay here again for business. Probably not for a family vacation, becasue the rooms are small and the location is not ideal fpr family. |
