Recent Sutton Place Magnificent Mile Review: "First, I am a Chicago native and I choose the hotel for Valentine's Day because it was in a great location. I love the downtown area, especially the Magnificent Mile; it's in the heart of so much entertainment. I called the hotel a few days earlier so that my fiancea€™s name could be added to the booking in case I got off work late, and the concierge was very helpful and accommodating. When we arrived the day of, we arrived a half-hour early and were quickly placed in a room. However, I wasna€™t initially satisfied because we were placed in a small room overlooking the roof and in a room with a tub and a removable showerhead. Since I specifically booked the room because I had read other guestsa€™ reviews about the hotel and the description of the separate shower and deep-soaking tub, I called the front desk and within minutes we were switched to the room that I had pictured all along. The room wasna€™t extremely large, but we are both small, so it was big enough for us! From that point on, we were satisfied and enjoyed our stay in the hotel. The mini-bar items are expensive, so bring your own drinks/snacks (we did, but I believe we were either charged for simply opening the fridge, or the hotel staff mistook my Monster drink as their Redbull...it was only $4.27 so I didna€™t even bother). There are no ice machines, so make sure to ask the hotel staff to bring some to the room. We went out to a great restaurant that night (Fultona€™s...check it out!), so we didna€™t explore the extra amenities in the hotel, but Ia€™m sure they are great. And, just a word of advice...if you want to check out the Original Pancake House (right across the street from the hotel), PLEASE get there early. As a Chicago native, I can tell you every location, especially on Sundays after religious services, gets packed. Definitely a place to check out!"
