Recent W Review: "Overpriced, overhyped, and overrun.
I was squeezed into my low ceiling room with two oversized beds (read: no room for anything else), and one chair in the corner without a table. The room was generally dusty, with the broadband cables well hidden amongst the dust behind the desk. The worst feature is that the bathroom opens with a shutter into the room so there is no privacy when using the bathroom. A novel idea, well only if you prefer to use the toilet in the close company of your companion. Everything is so incredibly overpriced, way above market value (5 USD for a small bottle of water). And the quality, just very ordinary. You leave the hotel afraid to breath just in case you will be charged for breating in air. I paid almost 50 USD for a call to Miami lasting about 20 min. What about the rooftop bar, well actually really uninspiring - that is if you get served. We gave up after 10 minutes."

Wave Restaurant - Six steps down from the lobby, this open-design restaurant serves a full breakfast and Mediterranean-influenced cuisine at lunch and dinner. The dress is business casual, the atmosphere is energetic, and the decor is chic with leather seating in ivory and red. An elevated section along the wall of windows offers booth seating. Outdoor seating May - September.
Whiskey Sky - This dark, intimate bar takes its name from its bird's-eye view of Chicago. Black-and-silver leather banquettes and small tables line the walls. Drinks only. DJ music on Friday and Saturday. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the city presents a fireworks show over Navy Pier on Wednesday and Saturday nights, and the bar provides an excellent vantage point.

| The hotel was packed to the gills, but the service didn't suffer. Great room- beautiful and overlooking the lake and fireworks for Memorial day. Awesome lounge music and good mojitos!!! |

| This is the nicest hotel i have ever stayed in and the beds were the most comfortable i have ever slept in.
The shopping and eating were all within walking distance and the view of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier were spectacular!
My only complaint was the outrageous fee of $6 for a small bottle of water in the rooms. However the 7 Eleven was only a block away. |

| The hotel was very fancy, with an excellent view of the lake and Navy Pier. The bed was comfortable, as was the lounge next to it. There was a fancy bar downstairs and a surprisingly small amount of noise, considering our stay was for New Year's Eve.
The only issue we had was that some of the extra things that normally come with cheaper hotel rooms cost a ridiculous amount of extra money, e.g. wireless internet and parking. They also had a minibar with unnecessarily high prices and a "no outside alcohol" policy.
Other than that, a great romantic stay. |

| Our only disappointment was that the room had two twin beds instead of the king we reserved. The room was nice, clean, quiet, and the location was wonderful. We were close to the bike path and steps away from Navy Pier. The view of the lake was magnificent. We'll be returning customers. |

| Nice Room- Great View of the lake and Navy Pier. Comfortable bed, and Contemporary Decor . The staff was very friendly . I received a complimentary bottle of wine since it was my birthday. Great to have a nice restaurant and SPA in close proximity. |

| I'll just do bullets becaude this could go forever if I wrote everything out:
BAD:
1. Parking overnight is $48.00
2. Valet staff was hard to find at night. One actually made me feel bad.
3. I requested a non-smoking King room and they put me in a smoking room with two smaller beds. This was definitely wrong of them to do!!! I asked if they could at least give me free parking then and the answer was "NO".
4. Bar downstairs was inconveniently placed.
5. Location is too far from Michigan in my opinion.

| It is a very hip hotel but the but the carpeting esp in the elevator needed an upgrade. The staff is very helpful. The only other nuisance I remembered was that it took a very long time and I even let it ring off the hook when I called the conceirge.
WE also noticed snot on one of our bedsheets. This was really unexpected. Location was very good. |

| I was really pleased with most aspects of the hotel. Our room was on the 27th floor of 33, which gave us a great view. There was even a telescope by the elevator bank so we could look out over Lake Michigan and the Navy Pier while we waited. The beds were very comfortable, the Bliss amenities in the bathroom were great (but they only provided one bathrobe), the ambiance was hip and trendy, and the location couldn't be beat. I ordered breakfast from room service, and while it arrived quickly, it certainly wasn't worth the price. There were coffee shops, convenience stores, clubs, restaurants, and shopping all within walking distance, and we never had to wait more than a minute for a cab. As two 20-something females, we loved the place and certainly would recommend it to others. |
