Recent Wyndham Review: "My Husband and I got married last weekend at the Chicago courthouse. As a fun way to celebrate we decided to stay the night at the Wyndham hotel. At first we were booked for a room with two double beds. When I explained that we just got married at the courthouse and asked if we could have a King size bed we were instantly upgraded to a guest suite, no questions aksed. Then, because it was available, we were upgraded to the Presidential suite! I have never been in such an amazing hotel room in all my life. A complimentary bottle of champagne and a card from the staff was sent up to our room later that night. Everyone we encountered was so nice and so helpful. It was one of the best nights of my life. The hotel itself is beautiful and you cannot beat the location. It is so close to Michigan shopping and great restaurants. I also found the hotel to be very reasonably priced for the area. If you are looking for a hotel with a great location and great customer service I would highly recommend staying at the Wyndham Chicago. It was the best decision I have made all year, apart from marrying my husband!"

Booking a room via a discount site does not give the guest the best room. We received an old fashioned TV, which was a bit disappointing. In addition, having to pay 35 cents per minute for the internet was quite inconvenient because it took the hotel internet provider more than two minutes to logon. We were paying the entire time as we waited to be connected. The concierge ultimately logged on for me after we'd already paid for the first two minutes.

This was out first trip to Chicargo and the Wyndham is in the perfect location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. We are wanting to go back next year and the Wyndham is top on our list!!! We rate it a 10 out of 10 :)

Hope to make it back. Never ate at restaurant as the prices were too high. Bar was good. The tv should have been updated (flatscreen would fit in cabinet). Staff was helpful. One concierge worker would talk too fast but got different one the next day and he took his time and was VERY helpful.

The hotel lobby and facilities were very nice. Valet parking was nearly 50% higher than nearby selfparks. The breakfast and room service prices were outrageous (Einstein Bagels, Panera, etc, all within a block). The carpeting was very stained in the room, making stocking or bare feet impossible. Beautiful bathroom. The location next to NW Hospital resulted in sirens passing the hotel constantly, even all night, making sleeping impossible. There was no typical heater/AC unit in the room to run on high to drown out the noise. That issue alone will preclude ever staying there again.

The A/C seems to be centrally controlled, so my wife called the reception late in the evening to have someone come up and adjust the settings. After FOUR attempts and THREE HOURS LATER finally we had someone that came and helped us. RIDICULOUS!!! The cleanliness and quality of the hotel otherwise, no problem, not to mention the location - literally walking distance from the Naval Pier area.

The hotel was very nice. It was very clean, and staff were very attentive. The concierge desk was always staffed and consistently helpful. The room was right-sized for us with a larger than usual bathroom - helpful in the morning with the two kids. The restaurant served us a stellar meal while the kids had room service. We really liked the easy access to the Shopping district and other attractions. The price was right, and with the exception of a delay getting our room, was a very good experience!

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was close to the mile and there were places to eat all around the area. The staff was really nice and very helpful.
